HEXENS
COOKIES POLICY
Last updated: 16 June 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how Hexens Cyber Security Ltd. (“Hexens”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on hexens.io and our related sites and applications (the “Platform”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data. We are responsible for the cookies we set and for deciding the purposes for which the resulting information is used.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site store and retrieve information about your visit — for example, to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage, perform comparable functions, and references to “cookies” in this Policy include them.
2. Cookies We Use
We use a limited set of cookies, our own and from a small number of trusted providers, in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for the Platform to function, including authentication, session management, security, and load balancing. These are always active because the Platform cannot work without them, and they do not require your consent.
- Preferences cookies — remember choices such as language and display settings to personalize your experience.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Platform (for example, pages visited and traffic sources) so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics for this, and the data is used for our own statistical analysis and not to target advertising.
We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral profiling, or to sell or share personal information.
3. Your Consent
When you first visit the Platform, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies through a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically; preferences and analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie banner or the "Cookie Settings" control on the Platform, or by adjusting your browser as described in Section 5. Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies already used while consent was in place.
4. Cookies on This Platform
The table below lists the cookies we set. We keep it current; the exact set may vary as the Platform changes.
Cookie | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
auth_token | Strictly necessary | 30 days | Keeps you signed in (JWT session). HttpOnly, Secure. |
fingerprint | Strictly necessary | 30 days | Binds your session to your device to detect token misuse. HttpOnly, Secure |
google_sso_state | Strictly necessary | 10 minutes | CSRF protection during Google sign-in. HttpOnly, Secure |
google_sso_redirect | Strictly necessary | 10 minutes | Remembers where to send you back after Google sign-in. HttpOnly, Secure |
_ga | Analytics | 13 months | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors using a randomly generated identifier; used for aggregate usage statistics. |
_ga_* | Analytics | 13 months | Google Analytics — used to persist session state and count page views. |
_gid | Analytics | 24 hours | Google Analytics — distinguishes users |
5. Managing Cookies
You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or settings link at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser, which lets you block or delete them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working. Browser instructions are available here:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Cookies and site data.
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari — Settings/Preferences → Privacy.
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Where your browser sends an automated opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a request to decline non-essential cookies where required by law.
6. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy from time to time and will post the updated version with a new date. For questions, contact us at info@hexens.io. For more on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
